Staypineapple has partnered with Abra Hospitality to bring AI-powered guest intelligence and hyper-personalized service across its hotel portfolio. Following a successful rollout at its Chicago property, Abra will expand to Staypineapple hotels in New York City, San Francisco, Boston, Seattle, and Portland. The platform consolidates guest information across teams and systems, helping staff anticipate needs and deliver more consistent, personalized experiences. Across Abra’s properties, the technology has reportedly driven a 13% increase in RevPAR, 10% higher occupancy, and a six-point rise in Net Promoter Scores. Read more
GSA Raises FY2027 Hotel Per Diem Rates
The U.S. General Services Administration will raise the standard federal lodging per diem rate to $113 per night from October 1, up $3 from the current level. The standard meal allowance will remain at $68 per day. The rates set the reimbursement limits for federal employees traveling on government business. Starboard and LaSalle Acquire Seven Accor Hotels
Starboard Hotels and LaSalle Investment Management have acquired seven Accor-branded hotels across the UK from Ares Real Estate Funds and EQ Group. The portfolio contains 913 rooms across Birmingham, Sheffield, Luton, Southampton and London. The hotels will continue operating under their existing Accor franchise agreements, with Starboard taking over management. Peppa Pig Is Getting a $331 Million Shanghai Hotel Project
Shanghai will become home to the world's largest standalone Peppa Pig theme park in 2027, with a themed hotel forming part of the project. Hasbro and local partner Max-Matching Entertainments are investing 2.4 billion yuan, or about $331 million, in the development. The park will cover around 19.4 hectares on Changxing Island and include themed zones, attractions and an immersive show. Read more.
