Inn-Flow Connects Hotel Purchasing With Accounting and AI
Inn-Flow has connected its Accounting and Procurement platforms so hotel teams can see budgets, forecasts, actual spending and open purchase orders while making buying decisions. The system shows how much money remains available after existing spending and commitments. It also matches invoices with purchase orders to keep financial records current. An AI Cart Optimizer can suggest changes before an order is submitted. Inn-Flow says its upcoming Inventory module will add visibility into items already on hand. Read more
Hotel Lucile Opens in a Restored 1931 Church
Hotel Lucile has opened in Silver Lake, Los Angeles, inside a former 1931 Presbyterian church. The 25-room boutique hotel retains many original features, including stained glass, arches and exposed timber. The former church nave now houses the Sous Sous restaurant and bar, while the property also has a courtyard pool and rooftop deck. Designed by Electric Bowery, the hotel includes a rotating art program and local cultural activities. It is Casetta Group's first property in Los Angeles. Read more.
The Nell New York Reveals Its Rockefeller Center Design
The Nell New York has unveiled its design plans ahead of its expected fall 2027 opening at 10 Rockefeller Plaza. The 134-room hotel will be the first hotel within Rockefeller Center and the first New York property from Nell Hotels. Rockwell Group is designing the public areas, while Pierre & Co. is handling the guestrooms and suites. The interiors draw from Rockefeller Center's Art Deco architecture, with warm materials and residential-style spaces. The hotel will also feature restaurants, a wine lounge, spa, fitness center and meeting spaces. Read more.
The Union Hotel Reopens After an 11-Year Redevelopment
The historic Union Hotel in Flemington, New Jersey, has reopened after an 11-year redevelopment. The 1814 property now has 100 guest rooms, including 10 suites, along with new dining, nightlife and meeting spaces. The hotel is operated by Concord Hospitality as part of Marriott's Tribute Portfolio. Its food and beverage lineup includes Jersey Prime Steakhouse, JP's Speakeasy and Fieldhouse Social. The project was led by developer Jack Cust and sought to retain the character of the historic property while adding modern hotel facilities. Read more.
Higher US Interest Rates Bring New Challenges for Hotel Owners
The Federal Reserve has raised its federal funds rate by 0.25 percentage points to a range of 3.75% to 4%, adding pressure to hotel borrowing costs. Industry representatives say higher rates can affect acquisitions, refinancing, renovations and new investment. At the same time, one hotel investment executive cited by CoStar said greater certainty around borrowing costs could help long-term rates and commercial real estate markets.
