Lacoste turns hotel room service into a fashion experience
Lacoste has teamed up with The Hoxton and artist Michael McGregor for a seven-piece capsule collection called Room Service. The collection is available only to guests staying at one of The Hoxton’s 19 hotels worldwide, with pieces ordered through a special room-service menu and delivered to the guest’s room. The designs draw on familiar hotel rituals, from check-in to ordering dinner, and feature McGregor’s playful artwork alongside Lacoste’s sportswear style. Lake Como EDITION sold to Sansiri Capital
Bain Capital and Omnam Group have agreed to sell The Lake Como EDITION to Sansiri Capital, the hospitality investment arm of Thai developer Sansiri. The 148-room hotel opened in March 2026 after the partners transformed a 19th-century palazzo on Lake Como. The redevelopment reduced the former hotel’s room count while adding larger rooms and suites, a spa, restaurants, a floating pool and beach club. Financial terms were not disclosed. The deal also marks Sansiri Capital’s expansion into Europe’s luxury hospitality market. Read more.
W Scottsdale unveils redesigned Living Room
W Scottsdale has opened its newly transformed Living Room, giving the hotel a new social space for guests and visitors. The redesigned area takes inspiration from the Sonoran Desert and is intended to support different uses throughout the day, from work and casual gatherings to evening entertainment. The design was created by MONOGRAM at BBGM and moves the space toward a more flexible social setting. The project forms part of a broader effort to refresh the Scottsdale property and strengthen its role as a gathering place. Read more.
Soho Ranch House Sonoma set to open in 2027
Soho House is preparing to open Soho Ranch House Sonoma in Kenwood, California, in 2027. The 350-acre property will feature 50 cottages and villas, club spaces, restaurants and two pools, with views across Sonoma’s wine country. It will be Soho House’s first large-scale resort property in the US and marks a move beyond its traditional urban club locations. Construction has faced delays related to the availability of electrical transformers, but the company continues to target a 2027 opening. Read more.
IHG plans $1 billion hotel rollout
IHG Hotels & Resorts plans to develop at least 15 Staybridge Suites hotels across Australia with property developer ALAND, creating a portfolio of at least 2,000 rooms. The long-term agreement gives ALAND exclusive rights to develop the extended-stay brand in the country. The first two properties are planned for Parramatta and Leppington in Greater Western Sydney, with 242 rooms combined. The expansion targets demand from corporate travelers, project workers and people relocating for longer periods. Staybridge Suites currently has 355 open hotels and 152 more in its global pipeline.
