ExplorUS is consolidating six separate lodging technology systems onto a single Cloudbeds platform across 30 properties. The company operates more than 200 park destinations and manages a broad mix of hotels, restaurants, retail outlets, campgrounds, attractions, and marinas. The change is intended to give management better visibility into portfolio performance while improving occupancy, pricing, operations, and guest engagement. The rapid growth of data center construction is creating unexpected demand for hotels in parts of the US. Construction workers often need accommodation for extended periods, encouraging developers to acquire and renovate underperforming hotels near major projects. US hotel sales rose 28% year-on-year during the first half of 2026, according to data cited in the report. BWH Hotels Steps Up Aiden’s US Expansion

BWH Hotels is accelerating the growth of its design-focused Aiden brand, with more than 20 hotels currently in development. The brand now has 58 hotels worldwide, supported by recent openings in markets including California and Kansas City. Three more US openings are planned for autumn 2026, covering Denver and Tempe, while Toronto Airport will mark Aiden's first Canadian property. Highline Adds Dual-Branded San Antonio Hotel to Its Portfolio

Highline Hospitality Partners has acquired the dual-branded AC Hotel San Antonio Riverwalk and Element San Antonio Riverwalk. The deal adds 343 guestrooms across the two Marriott brands and takes Highline's owned portfolio to 21 hotels and more than 5,500 rooms. The property was previously an office building before being converted into a hotel between 2019 and 2022. Located near the River Walk, it also includes food and beverage outlets, meeting space, office space, and ground-floor retail. Read more.

Kansas City’s Historic Scarritt Building Is Set for a Music-Focused Hotel

Kansas City's 117-year-old Scarritt building is set to become a UMusic Hotel, marking the brand's first US property. Construction is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026, with the project transforming the historic building into an entertainment-led destination. Plans include 169 hotel rooms, a connected branded residential tower, a live entertainment venue, recording studio, retail space, and several food and beverage outlets.
