Folio and M3 Connect Hotel Purchasing and Accounting

Folio and M3 have expanded their partnership with a two-way integration connecting procurement, invoice processing, inventory, and hotel accounting. The integration allows approved invoices and asset balances to move from Folio into M3 without duplicate data entry or manual reconciliation. Hotels can reportedly go live within 24 hours after M3 provisions access and invoices begin flowing to Folio. The companies say the connection will reduce administrative work while giving finance teams better visibility into spending and financial data. Read more.

Hotel Guests Are Spending More Time Casting to Their TVs

More than 34% of hotel guests now use casting during their stays, according to new data from Nevaya covering 8,544 rooms across 36 hotels in the US and Europe. Guests averaged three casting sessions per stay and 224 minutes of viewing. US guests cast more often and for longer than European guests, while Apple devices accounted for 81% of casting activity. YouTube, Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney+ made up nearly 80% of total viewing time. Read more.

Pivot Takes Over Management of Nashville’s Hutton Hotel

Pivot, the lifestyle operating division of Davidson Hospitality Group, has been selected to manage the Hutton Hotel in Nashville. The 246-room property is a Tribute Portfolio hotel in the West End, close to Music Row. It recently completed renovations and includes the Evelyn’s restaurant, Analog music venue, recording studios, meeting space, and a new spa and fitness facility. Pivot says it will focus on the property's updated identity, dining and wellness offerings, and revenue performance. Read more.

Hotel Labor Productivity Improved in the First Half of 2026

US full-service and select-service hotels reduced labor hours per occupied room during the first half of 2026, despite higher demand and rising wages. Hours per occupied room fell 3.1% at full-service hotels and 3.5% at select-service properties compared with H1 2025. At the same time, occupancy reached 67.9%, while RevPAR rose 8.9% and TRevPAR increased 9.2%. The report also found that productivity gains slowed in Q2, suggesting that maintaining these improvements could become harder as workloads and costs continue to rise. Read more.
